An Assessment of Students’ Enthusiasm for Pre-Class Preparation

چکیده
In active learning scenarios, pre-class preparation is necessary but not sufficient for students adopting a “deep learning” approach: obligatory engagement with materials does preclude surface or strategic approaches. Therefore, studying students’ diverse experiences of and motivations work helps identification the factors influencing inhibiting their preparation, way they tackle any obstacles encounter, consequent impacts expectations. Based on semi-structured face-to-face interviews in higher education, this study reflects experiences, motivations, challenges strategies, impacts, expectations related to preparation. This concludes that (such as demands well-scheduled, well-structured, clear, brief, specific instructions, availability reading, listening watching, etc.) should be reflected design execution an scenario where obligatory.
